Moments in Munich

The weather? Scrumptious.

The shopping? Incredible.

The jewelry? Divine.

Sarah and I had a fabulous time walking the streets of Munich, eating German hotel breakfasts until we couldn’t eat anymore, shopping for special wardrobe pieces, and most importantly, connecting with all of the designers that you know and love at Inhorgenta 2025.

It is one thing to adore the work of Niessing, Gellner, Sabine Mueller, Spreng, Heinz, Schaffrath AND MORE (love you all), but to be able to sit, talk, and connect with the wonderful people behind the jewelry is a truly special experience. I enjoyed hearing stories of the “old days — 20+ years ago” and how many people in our industry have, in a sense, all grown up together.

In a world where everything is fast and online and impersonal, modernist fine jewelry is a place where entire families commit to generations of handcrafted artistry. AND IT SHOWS. The jewelry absolutely dazzled me and not only because this was my first time immersed in it.

Before Munich, if I were to describe fine jewelry, I would have said something along the lines of “attention to detail and high quality materials.” Still true… But… Fine jewelry, to me now, is the byproduct of generations of creative minds connecting, collaborating, and truly committing to a legacy of attention to detail and high-quality materials. 🙂 Enjoy a quick photo dump that made all my favorite moments in Munich.
